"Yes; great rates. I understand people can have different experiences, but my observation is snarky responses, and a lack of transparency in my policy/billing. I have a perfect driving record throughout my entire life since getting my drivers' license, so one would think that would be appreciated. But, like most all of my neighbors, had a hailstorm and tornado claim from this summer -- an Act of God -- not my fault. When my State Farm policy renewed, the manner that staff at this SF agency explained the 10% spike in my premium was, I was penalized for an Act of God. The spike was "my fault" for living where a tornado hit. I have never had chargeable accidents, and no tickets/issues of any kind. One would think that type of insured would be treated with respect, not snarky rudeness. Update: The representative did not state the reason for rate increase was for an overall cost increase. If he had, there would have been no concern, or reason for my post. At the same time, State Farm is one of the most reasonable rates in auto premiums. In fact for any driver over 30, with no tickets and with good credit, State Farm is about 50% of what GEICO's rate is in our area. So, I appreciate Mr. Janjua explaining and providing a correction today, to explain why my rates increased. Mr. Janjua doing that means a lot."

Regarding your policy renewal: * We affirm that the 10% increase you saw was not directly related to your recent comprehensive claim. That specific claim was handled as an Act of God claim, which typically does not directly surcharge a policy. * As Mason and Wilmer patiently explained, the modest price adjustment on your auto premium was part of a company-wide trend, primarily driven by the increasing costs of auto parts and repairs due to nationwide inflation and supply chain issues. This is a factor affecting almost all insurers across the board, not just a penalty for your location. We deeply value your business and appreciate that you continue to trust us with your coverage. Our team is fully licensed and committed to helping you understand these industry shifts and policy details. "I never had to make a claim, so I cannot speak to that part of the experience. However, I did switch to a different provider because State Farm has been constantly dishing out the cold calls/texts lately. It became so annoying that I got a quote from a different company at half the cost for the same coverage. If you continuously pester people about their insurance, they just might look closely at the numbers and realize they're getting a unfavorable deal."
